A dream within a dream

May a placid sleep come over thee As you glide over the highest cloud and swim in the deepest sea, The stream of consciousness drifts beyond Beholding a realm with no shape or form.

Into the deepest oceans of blue, Where the visions of the mind delude, Into the darkest forests of green, Facing forces hitherto unseen, Into a spotless cloud of white, No where to go, no place to hide, Into an endless realm of black, A long and twisted, winding walk, Into a shining beam of light Streaming in to break the night,

Meandering about the channels of thought, Through long abandoned entangled knots, The steps of life sound clear as thunder, Albeit, in a form you wish you remember

Like a shooting star across the sky Away and about with the blink of an eye

Entering a void of no joy or pain, Into an orb where no reality sustains And at dawn, what light through yonder window breaks For it is a whole new world when the mind awakes.
